Cora`s 1850 Bistro in Hawley

I placed a to-go order over the phone and when I arrived, the order was never sent back to the kitchen. They weren't busy, just lazy and then were rude to me when they discovered their mistake. Food was okay after we finally got it but probably won't be back.

I guess we don't belong to the exclusive Bread and Butter Club because we were the only table who did not receive any. Probably for the best as it looked like Wonder Bread and the other tables weren't eating it. Don't order the Frips as an appetizer, unless you believe in Fairy Tales, as we were told they are home made however they tasted and looked like any brand of rippled potato chips that had been warmed up. I ordered the Turkey Reuben which had an unusual ham looking and tasting piece of meat in it. My date ordered New York Strip which looked and tasted fantastic. It was served with Wild Rice Pilaf, pureed carrots and asparagus in huge portions and all of it yummy. Service was okay if you can overlook the bread issue and getting a second glass of water in a timely fashion.

Service was great and so was the food, I always love eating at Cora's you always get friendly service and a smile!!

Coras chicken( chicken w spinach) and the ribs were outstanding. Eric was great.This may be our new go to place!

Best dinner I've had in a while. The pretzel appetizer was awesome and the Delmonico steak with 1 pound of crab legs for dinner was amazing. Can't wait to visit agian next time we are at woodloch.

First vist was excellent... prices were excellent for the amount of food we had. Kelly waited on us and she was also excellent.. we will be back.

Found the gem on a whim. Came here with my family and it was perfect. Even with our 3 kids under 4yrs old. Plenty of parking, very clean in and out. Our Waitress was very good. Food was delicious. Price seemed on par with other similar restaurants in the area. We'll be back for sure. Wanted to take more pictures but didn't want to bother other patrons.
